Digging out here in arkansas

We had an ice storm that left us without power late last evening into this morning.. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... We are all electric so no light, no heat, no water.. NO FUNNNNN.... All is better this morning. We got about four inches of snow on top of a guarter inch of ice.. It is a Winter wonderland...

Where is that Swatter

I need my swatter, there is a bug in here.. The bug is in me.. lol.. Bad cold, flue, sinus congestion.. what ever it is, i want to swat it and make it leave.. Sweety just had it.. NOoooooooooooooooooooo we wasn't smoochin'.. I did hug him alot though, trying to make him feel better.. Well now he is trying to do the same for me. lol.. Any way.. Where is that swatter.. Catch up to you gals later.. I gotta swattin' job to do here for now.. -----------------> it wen't that way....

Ever Changing

My blog header that is.. I just love the sweet little children on my header. I am using this for my valentine header for now.. I just think it is fun to make them,(though mine are very simple). I am trying to learn to do the layering of photos to get a really beautiful look.. Anyway my header will change alot. Flu is going around here , sweety has been sick for three days now.. No huggin or kissin' going on here for sure.. haha.. But i really been pettin him up just in case i get it next.. I want him to return the favor.. Have a great sunday..

Little Story With A Happy Ending

I love vintage train cases, and have a few.. I have seen over time on some blogs some beautiful cases painted with roses and all dolled up.. Well i can't paint roses so i just painted the whole case a really pretty pink.

Now for the rest of the story...
My sweet step daughter got me this oooooohhhhhhhhlala secnted drawer liner for christmas.. TO DIE FOR you will see. It is soooooooooooo pretty i did not want to tuck it away in my drawers.. I was cleaning out my train case and noticed some of my old lace and doileys were beginning to smell dusty.. I cleaned up the case and a light went off in my head.. Beautiful drawer lines, smelly case, Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. Yippy.. So i got busy... Here is the case now...But as usual i did not get the photos in the order i wanted them in.. But you can see how pretty it is anyway.

Doing the HAPPY DANCE....

It has been four days now with no water. We thought our water was frozen, but it was our well pump switchy thingy that went out. Tonight I get a nice HOT bath.. wooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooo... I can't wait to soak in the bubbles..It is going to be another single digit night here in Arkansas.. I know most of you have temps like this every winter, but for us in arkansas it is only in the low fourties most of the time, and the coldest it would get is in the twenties one night and be gone..Well hope you have a nice weekend.. I will be watching for all those pretty Pink Saturday Post.

Simply Called Melt

The header on my blog is called MELT.. I have a cd with vintage images on it,and when i saw this photo i thought WOW... She is melting in his arms.. So i embellished it with lace,jewels,glitter and vintage pieces.. This is a new collage piece i created.. I have done very few. But this one just makes me go all mushy.. I love anything with pink,glitter,lace and ribbon. I love vintage wallpaper in those colors. Roses,sweet vintage dolls like Nancy Ann Storybook dolls. Just a few things that make me tick...

Please be patient with me

I have made a mess with my blog as you can see. I saved my original template, but for some reason it just sits there saying connecting and never brings my template up.. So i am trying to figure out how to either get that half a third column off or fix it to show all of it. If anyone knows how to fix it let me know. I am puzzles. I realy did want a three column blog.. But oh well can't have it all. Have a great night.

Still having Snow here And a goodie i found while out yesterday

Well we had to get out yesterday to look for some things to try to keep our water from freezing.. We hit goodwill before leaving town. But when we got home, our water was froze anyway. We live up higher then where we go into town is, so we are much colder here.. No water still this morning. Well things are tough all over... But my find was this sweet tiara made into a hair barrett. This will make something wonderful.. OH and i found this wonderful Large Box by Patricia Brubaker.. I love it.. Hope you all have a nice day..

First Snow of 2010

January 3 of 2010.. Woke up to a light dusting of snow. I was wanting it to snow so i could see how my pup would react to his firs snow. It is not much but it is enough to see in a photo.This is out my back door. HOpe you all have a wonderful Sunday..
