They just don't make it like this anymore

Don't you love the vintage christmas wrapping paper. All the wonderful colors and the great artwork of old. JOlly Santa and Frosty the snowman. Children decorating the tree in excitment of santa coming. Here are some of my favorites. I am adding some of these to my website as i have several packages of the same papers. It is hard to part with them but they don't get enjoyed just sitting in my christmas paper piles.

Fashion Runway Diva Dove's

Cindy at My Romantic Home host Show and tell Friday for those that like to show off some of their favorite collections or some of their newly creations so go over and enjoy the show. Here are my Diva Dove's. They are dressed in the finest fashions and ready to hit the runway. Dressed in Red and white with the most vibrant Red feathers, Queen of denial is the first to step out on the red carpet. Next we have lovely Goodtidings dove. She is sporting the vintage look and walking the cat walk for her favorite Childrens Christmas Charity. Goodtidings is dressed in vintage pale golden yellow shiny leaves and a vintage sparkle garland with a gift ready to go to the children. Following her is Pink Jewel, she is sporting a eye poping headpiece of pink and blue, to catch all the camera flashes. MOre diva doves will be joing in on the event soon.

Sweet Vintage Cherub Crowns

I have this lovely vintage edging from the late 50's early 60's that was begging me to make some crowns from it. I have added some vintage jewelry pieces to them to add much needed sparkle. I have added these to my website for sale. I have more of this wonderful edging if you have a certain size you would like. Just shoot me an email.

Vintage Wedding Bride & Groom Violin

Thanks to cindy at My Romantic HOme and Show and tell friday. I love vintage. This creation is made with a Vintage Violin at least 100 years old, vintage bride and groom, vintage lace and ribbon. Nothing says romance more then being seranede by an orchestra or a single violin player. Hope you enjoy this as much as i enjoyed creating it.

GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

This is a vignette of my Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary cake topper. This was from 1971. I have added some other pretties to go along with it. Vintage wilton pieces were used. Hope you have a great monday.

New Items addedto my website

A few Christmas things have been added to my website This Santa is a Brinns English Garden Santa. He is the softest prettiest Brinns i have seen in a while. The Nativity set is a beautiful aqua color and there are 16 pieces to it. The Carousel is a Mr. christmas Holiday Carousel. It plays the regular carousel tunes and then flip the button and it plays the best christmas music of all. I have also added another wonderful vitage tablecloth and some pretty figurines and ribbons. Vintage bottle Brush Tree

Junkin MOnday is hosted by Cottage charm and Family Inspiration , this is number 10 so go over and check it out.I found this wonderful vintage bottle brush tree. It has the old vintage glass balls on it and wonderful gold glitter on the tips of the tree. IT is 12 inches tall. I have added this to my website if anyone collects these.. We had a beautiful weekend here in arkansas. It was so nice we decided to have a weiner roast for the kids and grandkids.. Then we went inside and watch the new GI JOE Movie.. It was pretty good. All in all we had a very nice weekend .. Hope you did too.

Finds on my day out

Here are some things i found on my trip to town yesterday. Two wonderful vintage waffle tissue items.. ONe is a Hallmark wedding bell centerpiece, and one a vintage snowman ball. vintage tablecloth,some wonderful lefton china pieces. Love the pink pig bank, trip to paris bank and the pale blue poodles from the 50's.. Look at the pink reindeer.. found some great vintage christmas decorations too.
