ETSY COTTAGE STYLE COOKIE EXCHANGE


Don't you love cookies? I do.. But one certain kind for me at Christmas..
These are my favorite cookies. Period... My aunt use to make these for me when i was very young.. She made them up until my uncle had a stroke and she could not travel anymore. My Mother then started makeing them for me.. I did get the recipe and make them now myself since my mommy passed away. I know you have all had them but this is my recipe to share .. Pass the Milk Please..


SAND TARTS
1 CUP BUTTER
1/2 CUP POWDERED SUGAR
2 CUPS CAKE FLOUR,PLAIN FLOUR CAN BE USED
1 CUP CHOPPED NUTS
1 TSP. VANILLA


Cream buter, add sugar, flour, nuts, and vinilla.
Shape into balls or cresents (cresents for me please)
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees
for 20 minutes or until light brown.
Roll in powdered sugar while warm.
Makes 4 doz.
This is an old recipe.

oh I LOVE these! Used to make them when I was a teenager. A blast from the past..I will have to make them this year again. Thanks for sharing!

My favorite holiday cookie is called "Snowballs" or "Russian Teacakes". They are flour, butter and confectionery sugar. Then you roll them into balls, bake them, then roll them in confectionery sugar until they look like snowballs. OMG!! Too delicious.
