WOULD YOU?

Would you have bought this for one dollar? If so what would you do with it. Paint it? Leave as is? If you would paint it, what color? It is in bad shape surfice wise, but very heavy and sturdy.. Any thoughts you would be willing to share...

I sure would have bought it Sheila! I would probably try scrubbing it with steel wool to see if it cleaned up and if not, I think I'd paint it!! Probably white :)

Oh yes....... I would have bought it for sure!! If I couldn't clean it I would have painted it. But you shouldn't put food products directly on painted surfaces so I probably would use it for displaying pretty things. Would be really pretty at holiday times. Like at Christmas to hold ornaments and little bottle brush trees and vintage Christmas things like elves, santas, etc. And then change it up every holiday with something different! Great find for a buck!! It would be great to put in a studio to hold stuff too!! What are you going to do with it?

Hi Sheila,
Oh, I definitely would have bought it. You have a really good eye. I probably would spray it with some kind of metal spray paint-white. I love the shabby chic look. I would probably only use it for display of seasonal items. Right now I could see it filled with mini pumpkins, acorns, and glittery garlands. Beautiful! Amy :)

Oh yes, I would have bought it! I would make liners out of pretty scrapbook paper to cover the "plates". Then you could put snacks or decorations on it and change the paper according to the season.

Hello, Sheila! So nice to find your blog!

I do believe I would have bought it! Painting it would be nice, and it would be great to find a finial for the top.

And, of course, it could be used for so many things and in any room.

Take care, and God bless you!!!

Yes, it most definitely would have come home with me. I would keep it as is for a little while and put jewelry in it for display. Then use it for vintage ornies at Christmas, and then for other holidays.

can't wait to see what you are going to do with it!

Hi, Shelia! Thanks for visiting my party today!

I like the stand but wouldn't have bought it because I would want to paint it. I had to lay down the law and tell myself that I can't buy anymore make over items until I make over the bunch I already have! But... I like Amanda's idea! ♥

I guess I don't have to say it, everybody has said it.... Remember what Southern Lady's Vintage said if you do paint it.... no food can be put on it, but definitely can be used for so many other things.
